Buying a new minivan or commercial van online? Perhaps you researched Consumer Reports or Car and Driver’s Best Vans and Minivans -- or found a great bargain in some other state, and now you need quotes from top van shipping companies for complete door-to-door van delivery. Whether you’re the buyer, the dealer or a seller, we make transporting your van affordable, easy, and available with peace of mind.
How much does it cost to ship a van?
Van shipping costs ~$1 per mile for 1-500 miles. So, a 350 mile trip would cost $350. With long distance shipping, the price is lower: moving a minivan ~1000 miles drops it to $.75 cents a mile, or $750. Shipping a car cross country can be as little as $.40 cents per mile.
Van shipping quotes can vary based on the vehicle's weight, size, height, aftermarket modifications, speed of shipping and seasonal demand. To ship a mobility van, a wheelchair van, or even a commercial use van may be a higher cost, because of potential special handling requirements. Insurance coverage is always included in the total price - so there's never and hidden fees or surprise charges.
We have transported over 1000 medical transport vans that have been modified to new mobility conversion vans. We have delivered these for qualified buyers that have taken advantage of the great actual fuel economy on these new vans as well as the limited time APR financing offer and reduced government fees for these new mobility conversion units. Many families have found that after taking a test drive and calculating the finance charges as well as the financing promotion most financial institution have an APR financing offer that makes the actual payments more affordable then using a medicare approved service. According tot he EPA estimates many of the new vans have a fuel economy that is far better then older vans. For a limited time the federal government is offering help in the form of rebates towards your finance charges and monthly payments. These are for Medicare qualified household goods including mobility vans. There are limited quantities as with any Government program. You do need a valid driver's license to take one of these vans for a test drive, but it does not need to be a special license. Many of the vans where delivered to qualified lessees use them as non ambulance service medical equipment and for taking patients to their medical appointments.
When you're searching for the best rates through van or car transport companies, you’re looking for the cheapest way for your door to door shipping. Yet you also know there are important details you can’t scrimp on. The best auto transport company for a van will not only give you a comprehensive quote, but be able to explain in plain English what factors determine your price – so you know you are getting good value. Top van and minivan shippers also guarantee your quote for long enough that you can shop around and verify you’re getting the best overall deal for your door to door shipping. In our case, quotes are good for a full 14 days, which is twice as long as most wheelchair van and minivan shipping companies.
So, what exactly goes into a shipping quote for accessible vehicles and wheelchair van transport -- aside from the obvious distance from Point A to B? The 2nd key factor is whether you choose to ship on an open carrier or in an enclosed trailer, followed by whether you opt for standard delivery with a slightly flexible pickup / delivery date of 1-2 business days plus-or-minus, which helps drivers accommodate other customers in exchange for a somewhat lower price for you. Most customers will choose to use an open carrier because it tends to be the best value for shipping a vehicle. Additional factors include the size of the vehicle, popularity of the route, and seasonal demand, but we will do our best to make sure your van is shipped the cheapest way possible - maximizing your value.
For example, have there been after-factory modifications made to your van that changed its standard height, length or weight? While we easily accommodate every situation, it’s important to let your Coordinator about all modifications -- such as oversized tires, roof rack, gate lift, wheelchair lifts, etc. -- so we can send exactly the right carrier-truck for your auto transport. It is good to check with your Braunability finance and service contract for accuracy of the information for your leasing promotions and how they can help qualified buyers on the government fees such as taxes or medicare incentives towards monthly payments. Some of these financing promotions are based on credit approval and dealers sometimes have limited quantities of these incentives. Sometimes the purchase of a pre owned van makes more sense. Be careful to know your return policy and if you will need to use a third party financing institution to get lower monthly payments and financing promotion.
“We decided to move to Reno for a simpler, cheaper life. We went online and got a lot of quotes and chose Easy Car Shipping because of the good quote we received and the high ratings we found online. Everything went smooth, we met with the van transporter at a rest stop off the Interstate to receive the vehicle, because it would have been hard to get a 75’ trailer onto our street – but that was no problem. We actually saved some money, so it was a win-win.” Gerry Cornish, 2005 Ford Windstar, Virginia Beach to Reno
Popularity of the route and seasonal demand refer to the fact that transporting vans is similar to airline seats. Surprisingly, it can cost the same (or less!) to fly 2,500 miles from New York to Los Angeles than to fly from Minneapolis to Los Angeles. How can this be?! It’s because there are many dozens of flights originating in New York and LA every day, and those routes are more competitive among the airline carriers, while fewer airlines serve Minneapolis.
The cost of loading and unloading passengers and luggage is the same for both short and long trips, so the additional miles in the air cost only a fraction more. It works the same with car carriers. But wherever your pickup or drop-off location may be - it it's a metropolitan or rural area, you can rest assured that we work hard to match the best drivers with lowest rates for your benefit – and our great reviews. Making us the best option!

How long does it take to ship a van, or ship a minivan?

The first available pickup date is for auto transport is typically 2-7 business days after an order is placed, and express van shipping service is usually available within 24-72 hours.
Whether you have a month, a week or even just a day’s notice, we can usually find a way to accommodate your schedule – especially if you can be flexible in certain other areas. Your Coordinator can offer some creative options to make sure your van is shipped the cheapest way without sacrificing quality or great service.
“The customer bought a custom van from us online in April. They decided to make the arrangements for the shipment themselves. It was during the snowbird season when there’s sometimes 10x more vehicles leaving Florida than there are coming in, and it can be extremely difficult to get a vehicle picked up. The transporter they had contracted with themselves, it turns out, under-quoted the delivery cost and could not get the car picked up, even after 2 weeks. We always use Easy Car Shipping, and after I called them as a favor to the customer, Easy Car Shipping picked up the car in 5 days and made the customer happy – at a time when the average booking time was even longer. I love that I can always count on them for the highest quality of service, even in a pinch.” Terry Boucher, 2013 Honda Odyssey. Tampa Dealership to Customer in Detroit

The dealer recommended Easy Car Shipping, because that’s who they use to ship Transit Connect vans, and for all other van transports across the country. We got a quote, then decided to shop around. “I was on a job site in Phoenix and the transmission on my van went out. I didn’t know what to do, because I had all my tools and plumbing equipment in the van. The transporter was able to pick my van up even though it did not run. They kept me calm and I was happy they were able to deliver it the very next day. This kept me on track with my commitments to customers, which was a great relief.” Jeff Van der Sluice, 2001 Ford E250 Cargo Van, Phoenix AZ to Anaheim CA
